We are taking a temporary summer break. The lab room is getting new paint and a new floor finish, so I am unable to ship orders from Sept 18 until the end of the first week of October. Please send me an email if you need something for a gift or if you are an international customer and want to time a package to arrive while you are at a hotel (I will take care of those orders as soon as I can – I can send you an invoice if you tell me what you need). Otherwise, I will update here when I know the re-open date, and I will also post on the blog. Thank you!!
We debuted a brand new, beautiful website the first week of April 2015. Hope you enjoy the new look! We’ve added new content and photos and now have an updated format that works on all screen sizes. We also released the new all-natural Amber Incense shortly after the new website format.
Our newest scent, Amber Incense, is a rich blend of amber, fruits, florals, and incense. It is 100% natural and is parfum concentration. The notes are elemi EO, Sichuan pepper CO2, clove bud absolute, rose absolute, jasmine sambac absolute, beeswax, frankincense, cedar, New Caledonia sandalwood absolute, labdanum, oakmoss absolute, oakwood CO2, patchouli, heliotrope isolate, natural apricot isolate blend, natural damascenone isolate, tonka, benzoin absolute, cocoa absolute, and vanilla.

You can stop by our blog if you're interested in more information about the perfume-making process or want to follow the progress on the new scents. The blog and the newsletter are different; the newsletter goes out just a few times a year to announce new scents and important product alerts, while the blog is usually updated at least weekly and contains a mix of content (updates on my work on new scents, information about perfumery ingredients, interviews with people in the fragrance world, links to articles of interest elsewhere on the net etc.). If you'd like, you can sign up to receive email alerts from Feedburner when we add a new post to our blog (you'll get maximum one email per day, just on days new posts are added so you don't have to remember to check back):
Or if you'd like to add our blog Perfume in Progress to your feed:
Sonoma Scent Studio usually provides a quick turn-around time of 1-4 business days, but that can change periodically depending on the number of orders coming in. Updates will be posted here if it will be longer than 1-4 business days. You'll usually get a shipping notification email when your shipping label is printed.
